Lot Description

A modern Scottish silver lidded pot of plain circular form, the removable cover of tapering conical form with textured silver-gilt decoration and ball finial, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Sidney Beddall, Edinburgh 1985. Height measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), weight 6.5 ozt (202.9 grams).

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor contact marks from the lid to the interior of the pot. The interior of the lid is marked with faint letters, the silver-gilt looks worn and duller, also the same on the top of the lid. Hallmarks clear and legible to the base, partial hallmarks rubbed and worn to the cover.
