Lot Description
A pair of Georgian silver horse riding spurs, each of typical form with heel band, attached hinge buckle and rowels to the shank (missing spur strap). Hallmarked London, possibly 1780, maker's mark possibly BC?. Maximum width 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), gross weight 3.2 ozt (99.6 grams).

Condition Report
In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both spurs are missing their spur strap and the rowels are significantly worn and missing some of their points, neither rotate. The hinged buckles appear unmarked, both have metal components which appear quite rusted. The hallmarks are deep punches making it difficult to distinguish, town mark for London, possibly 1780, maker's mark possibly BC?.
