Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The press release on the sovereign case is very difficult to open and not functioning properly, the sprung platform is in working order, minor loss of definition to the engraved monogram, with bumps and dents to the outer case. The longer cheroot holder has an hinged opening down the side, it has a material lining and is further marked Sterling, it is engraved with the initials 'W.H.M'. The hinged lid on the smaller cheroot holder is loose and wobbly and requires attention. Both have a sticker to the outer cases. Beneath the monogram on the vesta case is the date '1906'. Residue to the interior of the matchbox holder. The matchbox case does not shut fully secure. The hinged lid of the jewellery box does not shut fully flush, its interior lining is coming away from the side and appears slightly discoloured. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
