A small mid-twentieth century lidded box, of oval cut-glass form, the removable embossed silver lid with vacant cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1942, maker's mark partly obscured probably William Adams Ltd., width measures 2 7/8 inches (7.5 cm). Together with a modern pill box of oval form, the hinged lid with an embossed female head, marked 925 and a heart shaped pill box, the mother-of-pearl hinged lid with an applied paste and marcasite motif, marked 925. Gross weight 34.2 grams. (3).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The oval box has some small holes to the embossed decoration on the silver lid and sticky residue to the cartouche. The oval pill box is twice marked 925, alongside the common control mark and Birmingham Import mark, further stamped with the maker's mark CME. The heart shaped pill box is further marked with the common control mark, the anchor and maker's mark CME. Hallmarks clear and legible, maker's mark on the oval box is partly obscured probably William Adams Ltd.
