A small French rectangular box, of hinged form with reeded decoration to the top, opening to reveal a gilt interior. Marked Sterling alongside possible Boar guarantee mark and indistinct lozenge mark, further marked Alfred Dunhill Paris. Width measures 3 1/8 inches (8.1 cm), weight 2.1 ozt (68.3 grams).

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The box has a bit of bounce to the hinged cover when closed. Heavier surface scratches to the base. Marked Sterling alongside possible Boar guarantee mark and an indistinct lozenge mark, possibly a French maker's mark, both also appear on the interior of the cover, further marked Alfred Dunhill Paris.
