Lot Description
An Italian novelty silver caddy spoon, realistically modelled as a scallop shell with an applied starfish, pierced shell and seaweed terminal, marked 800 alongside the national mark for Arezzo (1944 - 1968). Together with a French preserve spoon, the heart shaped bowl leading to a twisted stem with initial engraved seal top terminal, marked with French assay marks, probably the standard mark and guarantee mark for Paris 1809-1819 and a Swedish silver condiment spoon with engraved initials to the terminal, marked with the Swedish national mark. Gross weight 1.8 ozt (58.6 grams). (3).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the fluted shell bowl of the caddy spoon, there is a suspension loop to the top of the terminal. The gilding on the preserve spoon is dull and faded on the stem, more bright to the bowl, marked with French assay marks probably the standard mark and guarantee mark for Paris 1809-1819, alongside a maker's mark of a star above the letters TM above the letter D in a lozenge outline and a further indistinct mark, the seal top terminal has a slight compression from the join to the stem, the engraved initial is beneath a small flower motif. Marks partly distorted but majority legible.
