Condition Report
In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The vesta case is engraved 'W. E. H from R. H 26.2.98' to the shield cartouche, the striker is significantly worn with dirt residue, suspension loop is marked with the lion passant. The cigarette case is a little difficult to open with the press release and there is gap between the silver pieces, one of the elasticated bands is detached to the interior with remnants and clumps of tobacco visible , the cartouche is engraved 'G R B?', minor loss of definition to the engine-turned decoration. Both pieces would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible.
