Lot Description
A mid-Victorian silver vesta box, of hinged rectangular form with engraved diaper pattern surrounding a vacant cartouche, the back edge with striker and suspension loop to the side. Hallmarked William Neal, London 1859. Width measures 4.5 cm, weight 17.6 grams.

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the engraved decoration and corners. The striker appears worn. Remnants of polish to the interior, would benefit from a clean. Hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to the lid.
