Lot Description
An early twentieth century cased pair of silver open salts, each of plain cauldron form and raised on stylised, stepped hoof feet, with blue glass liners, hallmarked Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd., London 1914; matched with a pair of salt spoons, hallmarked Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton), London 1913. Silver weight 3.65 ozt (113.6 grams).

Condition Report
The salts, spoons and liners all appear in good overall condition, displaying some light surface wear, marks and scratches and some tarnishing to the silver. A couple of very minor surface dints. No personal engravings. Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, maker's marks to spoons are quite worn, especially on one. Some minor edge nibbles to glass and likely small repair to one liner. General wear to case with minor losses, and the clasp is not working properly so it does not close tightly.
