Lot Description
A mid-twentieth century silver condiment set, comprising a pair of mustard pots, a pair of open salts and a pair of peppers, each of oblong canted form, the open salts and one mustard pot with blue glass liners, together with an associated condiment spoon, in a fitted case. Hallmarked Garrard & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1959. Together with a 1930's silver sauce boat, of typical form with high arch scroll handle and raised upon three hoof feet, hallmarked Grant & Son, Birmingham 1937. Gross weight exclusive of liners 10.6 ozt (329.9 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The condiment set would benefit from a clean and polish. One of the hinged lids of the mustard pots is detached and requires repair and attention, the other hinged lid does not sit fully flush. The interiors of the mustard pots and open salts are heavily tarnished and stained. Remnants of polish visible. The four condiments spoons are missing, there is one associated condiment spoon hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1959. The fitted case is heavily stained with losses to the outer material. The sauce boat is further marked 'Grant & Son Carlisle' to the base. Hallmarks clear and legible.
