Lot Description
A continental cream jug, probably German, the gilded helmet shape ornately decorated with an animal hunting scene above a central girdle, with dolphins swimming below, having a scrolled handle and raised on lion mask capped paw feet. Impressed 800 alongside a possible crescent moon and crown mark and a further indistinct mark. Maximum height measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm), weight 4.84 ozt (150.6 grams)

Condition Report
The jug appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. The gilding appears bright. There is some slight loss of surface detail or definition to the raised decoration but it still appears good overall. There are some slight vertical cracks visible to the interior on the handle side. The marks are quite rubbed and partly distorted.
