In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches,  marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cup has minor compression to the interior from the engraved decoration and feels slightly raised to touch, the Kokoshnik mark on the cup possibly indicates the assayer Aleksandr Kazimirovich Vyrzhikovsky, Kiev (1899-1904). The Kiddush cup has a minor bump to the rim of the top and base, fluid of solder visible around the join of the stem, it is marked 84 alongside the town mark for Kiev, a further town mark and two obscured Cyrillic maker's marks.
