Lot Description

An Edwardian silver fruit bowl of circular form, the scrolled rim above a continuous pierced border depicting a hunting scene with dogs, wild boar and stag, to a plain bulbous body and the whole raised on four mask capped scroll legs with pierced feet. Hallmarked James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler, London 1907. Maximum height measuring 8 inches (20.2 cm), weight 42.08 ozt (1309 grams)

The bowl appears in good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. A few minor surface dints and bumps. Some deeper scratches, nicks and pitted marks to the interior base. Residues of polish to some areas. There is a slight wobble. Hallmarks rubbed but legible, maker's mark partly worn.
