Lot Description

A large Edwardian silver tray, the oval twin-handled form having a raised scroll edge enclosing engraved foliate borders and floral swags to the centre. Hallmarked Reid & Sons (Thomas Arthur Reid, Francis James Langford & Christian Leopold Reid), London 1904. Maximum length inclusive of handles measuring 28 1/2 inches (72.5 cm), weight 116.81 ozt (3633.4 grams).

The tray appears tarnished throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface wear, marks and scratches but otherwise fairly good overall condition. Heavier contact wear and scratches to the underside, especially around the edge. Also a few heavier scratches to the plain centre. Hallmarks clear and legible. No personal engravings.
