Lot Description
An early twentieth century composite silver condiment set, including a pair of cauldron open salts with blue glass liners, a pair of casters and a mustard pot, each of circular form with gadroon style rims, the casters with pierced removable covers and wrythen finials, the mustard pot with foliate capped handle, hinged lid and scroll thumb-piece, the salts and mustard pot are raised upon three stepped hoof feet, the casters dated London 1915, the salts dated Chester 1916, the mustard pot dated London 1916, maker's mark rubbed but probably Haseler Brothers (Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler). Together with a silver plated tray, caster and cream jug. Gross silver weight 10.2 ozt (318.7 grams).

Condition Report
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The open salts and mustard pot are heavily tarnished to the interior. Remnants of pepper visible to the interior of the casters. The removable covers feel loose to the casters with minor bumps the body. The mustard pot has no glass liner present. Silver plated items in good condition. Maker's marks and date letters rubbed and worn in places but still just legible.
