A pair of mid-Victorian silver open salts, each of circular form with applied gadrooned rim and stipple engraved border surrounding a crested cartouche, raised upon three shell mounted claw feet. Hallmarked Charles Stuart Harris, London 1873. Diameter measures 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm), weight 4.6 ozt (146 grams).

Condition Report
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor loss of definition to the engraved decoration. The interior bowls have heavier surface marks. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
