Lot Description
A pair of Edwardian matched silver peppers, each of circular pierced form with reeded base, similarly decorated removable pierced covers and blue glass liners. Hallmarked Chester 1903 & 1904, one with maker's mark for Haseler Brothers (Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler), the other for G & Co. Height measuring 2 3/8 inches (6.1 cm). Gross weight exclusive of liners 2.8 ozt (87.6 grams).

Condition Report
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One blue glass liners is slightly taller than the other. Slight variation between the pierced holes on the removable covers. One pepper is dated 1904, its cover is dated 1903 for Haseler Brothers (Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler) and appears to tilt slightly, the other is dated 1903 to the body and cover for G & Co. Remnants of polish visible. Maker's marks to the bodies partly obscured but clear and legible to the partial hallmarks in the covers, other hallmarks clear and legible.
