Lot Description

A continental spoon, possibly Dutch, the trefoil shape terminal engraved verso with 1759 below initials, having a part figural stem and rat-tail to bowl reverse, single mark just below R.E?, length measuring 7 1/8 inches (18 cm). Together with a pair of continental spoons, each with figural terminal of a gentleman holding a posy of flowers, impressed 830 alongside a crown and letter S, length measuring 7 1/2 inches (19). Weight  5.46 ozt (169.7 grams).

All three spoons displaying some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches. Some flattening and rubbing to stem decoration and significant loss of surface detail to the decoration on the bowls of the pair of spoons, partly worn away.
