Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver-gilt caster, of classical urn shaped form with applied shell moulded shoulder mounts beneath a beaded rim border, the removable wrythen pierced cover with stylised scroll finial, the whole raised upon a circular base. Hallmarked Alstons' & Hallam, London 1913. Height inclusive of finial measures 9 inches (23 cm), weight 17.1 ozt (534 grams).
