In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cruet has Victorian lozenge registration marks for 8 September 1882, parcel 3 beneath each of the open salts. Signs of probable repairs to interior and exterior of one salt where the ball terminals join to the rim, this salt also appears mis-shapen. The pepperettes are marked with the registration number 571366 to each base, remnants of pepper visible to the interiors. The German silver mounted dwarf candlesticks have filled bases with green material bays, one has wax visible to the interior of the nozzle, the other has two indistinct marks to the interior of the nozzle, each marked 925 alongside the crescent moon and crown, further marked with a probable maker's mark. The singular candlestick appears to tilt slightly at the stem, it also has a filled base with worn material bay, hallmarks worn away with only a faint maker's mark H M visible. The small trophy has significantly worn engravings with minor bumps and dents throughout. Remnants of polish visible to each piece. Majority of hallmarks/marks clear and legible.
