Condition Report
The iron and stand both appear in good overall condition, displaying some expected tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. The hinged top to iron appears in working order and there is a hinged locking lever to hold it in place. Some of the bars to the stand are very slightly bent and there are slight circular impressions from the joins of the bars visible to the exterior. Slight distortion to marks but still clearly legible. Possibly letter O date letter for 1798 or 1799. Stand appears unmarked.
