Lot Description
An early twentieth century child's silver mounted rattle, of embossed foliate form with whistle, suspension bells and coral branch teether. Hallmarked Birmingham 1911, maker's mark indistinct. Maximum length measures 4 inches (10.3 cm).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of polish visible to the decoration. It has six suspension bells some of which are slightly squashed with minor loss of definition. The coral branch teether has natural blemishes with some polyp holes. Hallmarks slightly obscured, town mark, date and lion passant still just legible, maker's mark indistinct.
