Lot Description
A continental silver mounted agate trinket box and cover of circular form, the agate body with silver rim mounts of floral garlands, further flower pierced mount to the foot rim with three similarly decorated ball feet, the lid finial set with paste stones and surmounted with an eagle. Impressed 800 alongside a possible maker's mark. Rim diameter measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm).

Condition Report
The trinket box appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches. The metal mounts are all quite tarnished with residues of dirt and would benefit from a clean. The finial is applied to the lid with a fixing screw. Some visible chips and cracks to a couple of the paste stones. General crazing, surface nicks and pitted marks to the agate. There is an area of damage to a section of the lid with some deeper cracks and a chip visible, and a possible repair. Impressed 800 to the rim mounts, alongside a possible maker's mark.
