A selection of novelties to include an Edwardian silver cigarette case, of oblong lobed form with engraved foliate and scroll motifs surrounding a vacant cartouche, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1909, width measures 2 3/8 inches (6.2 cm). Together with a silver novelty bookmark modelled as a spade with mother-of-pearl handle, W H Collins & Co., Glasgow 1928, a late Victorian silver folding fruit knife with mother-of-pearl handle, a George V silver child's rattle with mother-of-pearl handle (A/F), four silver napkin rings, three with engraved initials, etc. Gross weighable silver 5.9 ozt (183.4 grams).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cigarette case does not shut properly and has become slightly warped in shape with minor dents and bumps, one of the two interior elastic bands is detached at one end, significant loss of definition and tarnishing to the lobed and engraved decoration. The blade of the fruit knife is slightly bent and off centre. The rattle is missing its suspension bells and is dented to the centre either side, the mother-of-pearl handle is chipped at the end. Various maker's and dates on the napkin rings, three have engraved initials, one has significant creases and splits, another has become mis-shaped with a slight split beneath the cartouche. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible. This lot may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
