A 1930's silver cigarette case, the rectangular engine-turned form with applied floral rim in rose gold tone and conforming thumb-piece, further applied to the centre with a crest of a coronet surmounted with a bird, the interior engraved 'Macbeth Caerphilly Castle June 7th-10th 1939' with various engraved facsimile signatures of some of the actors and production team. In original fitted case and sold with associated documentation. Hallmarked William Neale & Son Ltd., Birmingham 1939. Measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm) by 3 1/2 inches (8.2 cm), gross weight 5.81 ozt (180.8 grams).
