Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The interior rim of the 1889 box is creased causing the lid to not sit fully flush and pop off easily, other minor bumps to the body, no personal engravings to the cartouche, slight chips and nibbles to the mirror plate. The hinged lid of the 1898 box is slightly loose, minor loss of definition to the engraved monogram, remnants of polish visible to the silver-gilt interior with minor bumps and dents to the lid and body. The striker on the silver box is quite clogged up with dirt residue with minor loss of definition to the engine-turned decoration and around corners. The continental circular box is stamped with Hanau Puesdo marks to the base, remnants of polish visible, file marks visible to the interior rim, tarnish spots to the embossed cherubs. Other small box marked 835 alongside three further indistinct marks. The bear figures have some areas of black staining. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
