A late Victorian novelty silver mounted scent bottle, the ceramic body realistically modelled as a hazelnut with silver screw top lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1884, maker's mark partly obscured probably Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Rd No 89920. Height measuring 4 cm.

In very good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The lid is lined with cork to the interior which screws securely. Maker's mark partly obscured probably Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Rd No 89920.
