Lot Description

An 1920's silver lidded vanity pot, of circular cut-glass form with etched garlands and plain silver lid, hallmarked London 1923, maker's mark HA & Co., height measuring 2 4/8 inches (6.3 cm). Together with a 1920's vanity pot, of circular cut-glass form with silver mounted tortoiseshell lid and applied monogram, hallmarked Birmingham 1924, a further silver lidded cut-glass vanity pot with engine-turned decoration, vacant cartouche and a chequered border, plus a squat cut-glass vanity pot, the plated lid with yellow guilloche enamel decoration and interior mirror to the lid. In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor chips and nibbles to the glass pots and heavier surface scratches to the bases. The tortoiseshell lid looks dry and faded. The engine-turned lid has minor bumps. Minor nibble to the enamelled lid. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
