A William IV silver-gilt snuff box, the oblong form with engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover with applied inscribed panel, floral scroll thumb-piece opening to a further presentation inscription to the inside cover. Hallmarked Charles Rawlings & William Summers, London 1832.

Condition Report
In good overall condition. Displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hinge and clasp in good working order. A number of the hinge components have split and with losses (only visible to the inside).Wear to high contact areas of the gilding. Hallmarks clear and legible. The applied engraved panel tests as 9ct gold.
