Lot 392

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver pebble tobacco box of plain form with flush set hinge and lid. Hallmarked William Neale, Chester 1904. Length measuring 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), gross weight 2.43 ozt (75.6 grams).

Postage: Postable

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The box displays expected surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with the age and use. Some minor dints and bumps and seam line is visible. Hinges appear in working order. There is a press release mechanism to interior and this is not fully functioning as when the lid is closed it is quite difficult to open. The mechanism also appears quite crudely made. Hallmarked to interior and these are clear and legible.
