Lot Description

A pair of 1920's silver lidded powder pots, each of waisted clear glass form with star-cut base, the slightly domed silver lid with scroll engraved border and ball finial. Hallmarked Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1923. Height measuring 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm). Weight of lids 4.9 ozt (153.6 grams).

In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dent to the lid of one pot. The edges, ball finials and interior of the lids are heavily tarnished. Some dust and dirt residue to the interior of the glass pots. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
