Lot 1

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver mounted mirror of asymmetrical outline, the plain glass plate within applied silver border of flowers, foliage and scroll motifs, with velvet lined easel back. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1901. Maximum height measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Postage: Not Postable

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The silver mount appears quite tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some minor surface dints and several small holes visible in the embossed decoration. The mount is also lifting in places, mainly at the top as fixing pins missing or no longer serving their purpose. The mirror plate appears in good order. The velvet lined easel back also appears in good condition, although is probably re-lined. Hallmarks located to a lower scroll and these are clearly legible.
