Lot Description

A large 1920's silver salver, of circular form with applied ribbon and reed wavy border, the whole raised upon four scroll feet. Hallmarked James Deakin & Sons (John & William F Deakin), Sheffield 1927. Diameter measuring 14 inches (35.6 cm), weight 42.4 ozt (1320 grams).

In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The salver does not stand flat and wobbles slightly. Noticeable surface scratches to the centre. Minor loss of definition to the border. Hallmarks clear and legible.
