Together with a part set of four William IV silver pastry forks, of double struck Queen's pattern, hallmarked Aaron Hadfield, Sheffield 1833, ferrules dated 1832, a set of six silver handled table knives, each of King's pattern with engraved crest, plus a modern silver handled bread knife. Weight of sugar tongs 2.6 ozt (80.8 grams).

Total lot weight: No

In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The set of six knives are hallmarked Sheffield, maker's mark for Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), date letter indistinct, each has a plated blade. The bread knife has a stainless steel blade. The knives and forks appear quite worn and tarnished with some loss of definition to the decoration. The forks have filled handles. One fork handle is slightly twisted from the tines with some hardened residue visible in between the pieces. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
