In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Chinese napkin ring appears mis-shaped. The early twentieth century pair of open salts are particularly tarnished around the feet which appear to bend inwards slightly, one has a clean split around the join to the base, requires attention. The mustard pot and open salt are dated 1927, the pepper is dated 1928, the finial on the pepper is slightly compressed and bent, the mustard pot has a blue glass liner, its hinge is loose with some sideways movement, the open salt has a significant split down the corner, requires attention. The 1920's open salts have no glass liners, both with noticeable bumps and dents, one has a hole to the lower body. The singular open salt has marks for Hamilton & Co., Calcutta (1811-1971). Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
