Lot Description

A selection of flatware to include an Edwardian set of six silver ice cream spoons, each with a pointed flat bowl and contained within a fitted case, hallmarked Sutherland & Roden (George Guirren Rhoden), Sheffield 1901. Together with a 1920's cased set of six silver coffee spoons, each with a fluted shell bowl and ball terminal, hallmarked Langstone Silver Works (Bernard Instone), Birmingham 1929, a 1940's cased set of six silver teaspoons, plus five loose 1940's silver coffee spoons. Gross weight 8.2 ozt (257.1 grams).

In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The fitted case for the 1940's teaspoons is detached at the hinges, missing its fixture pins. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
