Lot Description
A large Christofle plated platter, of plain oval form with gadrooned rim border, contained within a protective tarnish sleeve and retailer's box. Marked Christofle France alongside a pictorial maker's mark. Diameter measuring 21 1/2 inches (55 cm).

Condition Report
The platter is in a good condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Visible dry water marks to the top where it has been cleaned. There are some noticeable file nicks to one end. The retailer's box is discoloured, creased and has significant splits and rips to the lid which has losses from the removal of stickers/tape. The letters 'G B' have been wrote on the lid in a black sharpie.
