Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver-gilt hipflask, of slightly curved oblong form with bayonet lock mechanism to the hinged lid and removable cup to the lower body. Hallmarked William Neale & Son Ltd., Birmingham 1916. Length measuring 5 inches (12.8 cm), weight 7.3 ozt (227.6 grams).

Condition Report
In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some minor wear to the gilding around the edges and corners. Noticeable contact marks and tarnishing to the lower section from the cup being removed and put back on. The bayonet locking mechanism is in working order but is a little stiff/catches. The hinged lid has a cork lining to the interior. Full hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to various sections slightly rubbed but legible, further marked 'Rd 649007'.
