A 1920's silver compact case, the rounded square form with engine-turned decoration and vacant corner cartouche, opening to reveal an inset interior mirror (a/f) and powder compartment with removable mesh, hallmarked William Suckling Ltd., Birmingham 1920, width measures 2 6/8 inches (7 cm). Together with a 1920's silver vesta case, of oblong form with engraved scroll decoration surrounding a vacant shield cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1923, an Edwardian silver travelling fruit knife, Birmingham 1902 and a 1930's silver match case. Gross weighable silver 71.4 grams. (4).

Condition Report
In overall fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The mirror in the compact case has a crack through the plate, appears a clean break, remnants of powder to the interior, would benefit from a clean, the removable mesh is frayed with a hole to the centre, the back of the case has significant tarnished area to the corner. The fruit knife has a sleeve which it fits inside to be concealed and then can be used as the handle, the sleeve/handle has a slight split down the edge and to the decoration, further marked RD 373659. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
