Lot Description
A late Victorian silver mounted bedside clock, the oblong surround with embossed scrolls and floral motifs upon a basket weave ground, the inset key wind clock with white enamel dial (missing hands) and second subsidiary dial at six o'clock, with fold out easel ring support to the reverse, hallmarked Birmingham 1897, maker's mark partly obscured, length measuring 3 inches (7.7 cm). Together with a silver handled and ivory paper knife, hallmarks significantly rubbed and worn, a late Victorian silver mounted pipe and a silver handled shoe horn. (4).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Fellows cannot guarantee the working order or accuracy of the clock, a key is present, the movement is marked '703829', the main hands are missing, it has some noticeable dents to the silver mount, the maker's mark is partly obscured, other hallmarks worn but still just legible. The paper knife has a chip to the end of the ivory blade, the hallmarks on the handle are significantly rubbed and worn. The pipe has a hallmarked silver mount, the hinged cover looks to be base metal and is lifting off the pipe, significant residue to the interior, the terminal is twisted above the mount. The shoe horn has a base metal component and remnants of polish in between the embossed decoration on the handle.
