A selection of mainly 1920's and later mother-of-pearl and silver folding knives, of varying shape and design, a mixture of plain, carved and engraved examples, many with vacant cartouches, three with engraved personal inscriptions or initials to the cartouche or blade, hallmarks for Birmingham and Sheffield, various dates and maker's marks including C W Fletcher & Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher) and John Yeomans Cowlishaw. Together with a selection of plated folding knives, majority with mother-of-pearl handles. (60).

Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some of the blades are slightly creased in places or appear a bit thin. Majority appear in good working order in terms of the folding function, a couple have loose blades or do not shut fully flush. Some noticeable losses and sticky reside to the handles. Two of the plated examples have ivory handles, one engraved for the 'Coronation June 2. 1953' and the other with a pictorial engraving of the Birkenhead ship, some signs of Verdigris and rusting visible. The engraved inscriptions to the cartouche or blades include various names and initials. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
