Lot Description

A pair of mid-Victorian silver novelty sugar nips with trefoil terminal and shell grips, hallmarked H J Lias & Son (Henry John Lias & Henry John Lias), London 1870, length measuring 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm). Together with a Chinese export silver floral decorated shoe with maker's mark for Wang Hing & Co (Hong Kong), a further Eastern style shoe, unmarked and an opium pipe with character mark to base, probably Chinese. (4).

All items appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some tarnishing and some expected surface wear, marks and scratches. A couple of minor dints. Sugar nips appear in good alignment and hallmarks are clear and legible. The character mark to pipe is very worn and rubbed. Chinese marks to shoe are located to interior.
