Lot Description
A modern silver letter opener of skewer form with oval ring handle below a coat of arms terminal, hallmarked Sheffield 1983, length measuring 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm); together with two further modern examples, one with silver handle hallmarked Sheffield 1990, the other with import hallmarks to blade, and a modern silver bud vase with flared rim and filled circular base, hallmarked Sheffield 1977, height measuring 8 3/8 inches (21.2 cm). (4).

Condition Report
All four items displaying some tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. Letter openers with some heavier wear around edges and tips. Residues of polish. The coat of arms terminal leans slightly. The vase displays a number of surface dints and bumps including rims. Hallmarks are all clear and legible. The two other letter openers measure 8 inches (20 cm) and 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm).
