Condition Report
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Significant losses to the enamel on the cigarette case, minor loss to the enamel on the vesta case, both appear to have gilding around the edges which is very worn and appears quite dull, both cases shut securely, the marks on the cigarette case a little rubbed. The pierced buckle has minor loss of definition to the decoration. Both miniature trophy cups are squashed and distorted in shape, both engraved 'St Andrew's Eastbourne Dec 1916'. The ashtray is engraved 'Presented to J. A. Morris by the staff of H. Morris & Sons Ltd on the occasion of his retirement of March 22nd 1968'. The retractable cigar piercer appears in good working order. The larger pill box lid does not shut fully flush. The shot cup is stamped with the Minerva head mark. Most pieces would benefit from a clean and polish. Majority of marks/hallmarks clear and legible.
