Lot Description
A Maltese silver paper knife, of plain tapered form with applied pierced terminal with Maltese cross finial and inset coin. Marked to the terminal with the Maltese cross alongside '917' 'S' and a possible maker's mark, further marked 'Silver' to the blade beneath a Maltese cross. Length measuring 9 inches (22.7 cm), gross weight 1.7 ozt (55.3 grams).

Condition Report
In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The tip of the blade is slightly worn. The inset coin is very worn and indistinct, tests at around 83% silver. Possible maker's mark is worn and distorted, other marks are clear and legible.
