Condition Report
The box displays some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some heavier wear around edges and to corners, especially base corners. Gilding is worn or faded to some areas, mainly around the engraving to the centre of the lid. Hinges appear in working order, maybe a little loose but the lid closes well. Slight damage to hinge pins. The lining to the interior is very faded and worn. Hallmarks are quite rubbed and partly worn, especially the date letter, clearly legible part hallmarks to lid.
