Lot Description
A cranberry glass scent bottle, the bellied form with mushroom shape stopper and silver overlay decoration throughout forming foliate motifs. Impressed number D1862, otherwise appears unmarked. Height including stopper measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm).

Condition Report
Overlay decoration tests as 97% silver to the body, 94% silver to the neck and 99% silver to the stopper. The scent bottle displays some expected surface wear, marks and scratches and tarnishing to the metal mounts. Some minor surface nicks and nibbles to the glass, including around the base rim and stopper. Many larger cracks and chips are visible to the interior of the glass neck and partly showing just below the metal collar. Stopper is a good fit. It is crudely engraved on the end with numbers 136.
