A Japanese Komai style vesta case, the rounded rectangular form ornately decorated throughout with trailing leaves surrounding a rooster and chicken to one side and a pagoda with blossom tree to the other. Appears unmarked. Measuring 5.7 cm by 3.6 cm, gross weight 26.6 grams.

Condition Report
Tests as 40% gold and 57.5% iron. Displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches and slight wear to the gilding but the decoration appears in good overall condition. Some areas of rust visible around the striking end. Hinged lid appears in good working order.
