A 1920's silver match case, of oblong engine-turned form with canted edges, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1927, length measuring 2 3/8 inches (6.2 cm). Together with a 1920's silver matchbox holder, of oblong form with reeded decoration, hallmarked Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1920. Gross weight 2 ozt (63.7 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The match case has slight gaps either side where the pieces do not shut flush. Both would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible.
