Lot Description
A 1920's small silver cream jug, of helmet shaped form with high arch flying scroll handle and raised upon a circular splayed base, hallmarked Birmingham 1926, maker's mark partly distorted probably James Woods & Sons, height measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.8 cm). Together with a 1930's silver caster, the stepped circular weighted base leading to a plain tapered body with removable pierced conical cover and finial, hallmarked Birmingham 1932, maker's mark rubbed and distorted. Weight of cream jug 2.4 ozt (75.2 grams). (2).

Condition Report
In poor to fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cream jug wobbles slightly on its base, with some slightly heavier areas of tarnish, hallmarks clear and legible apart from the maker's mark which is partly distorted. The caster is significantly bumped and dented to the body, it appears to tilt sideways, the base is creased and is filled with a Bakelite covering the loading, hallmarks clear and legible to the body apart from the maker's mark which is rubbed and distorted, partial hallmarks to the cover are obscured and indistinct.
